Last week I led my annual 5 Day Summer Cleanse and one of the highlights was getting away from my tried and true smoothie recipes and testing out some new creations. I called this one Smoothie Nirvana – it was that good! It reminded me of a Piña Colada – of course without any alcohol and waaay less calories!
This Healthy Piña Colada Smoothie satisfied my usual summer cravings for something frosty, fruity and sweet. It nipped my ice-cream cravings right in the bud to be perfectly honest… and reminded me that a Piña Colada can really be just as tasty without the alcohol and extra calories (guilt-free!).
The secret is the frozen pineapple which you can buy already frozen or freeze it yourself like I did (after chopping it up of course!). This Healthy Piña Colada Smoothie is so nutrient-rich that it easily replaces a meal so go ahead and indulge a little :).
